A very BIG THANK YOU to Barney Lee and the team at Andrew Morton Associates (https://www.ama-qs.co.uk/) for their input and support in reviewing our Skatepark tenders and associated costs. Very pleased to report we are on the right track, have choosen a very good main contractor and hope to be able to start works next year (assuming all funds are secured).
Great to get to talk to Wally Webb and the listeners of BBC Radio Norfolk earlier today – updating everyone about the Skate Park and our fundraising efforts. This was made even better by the fact that one of the Skate Park users, Jayden, was able to also be interviewed.
Great stuff as always – if you want to get involved or would like to donate, please contact us direct via email@example.com
Its been a strange few months which has understandably had an impact on some of the planning aspects for the new Skate Park. However we are pleased to report that in the past weeks the following has been undertaken:
Flood lighting – a flood lighting scheme has been designed with a local Electrical Contract and very much meets the needs of the the new skate park. We hope that once we have secure enough funds for the park we will be able to fundraise the money required for the lights.
UK Power Networks – if we want to have flood lights we are going to need power! Several meetings with UK Power Networks have taken place and we now have all the information (and prices) needed to know how we would get power to Trackside. This information will now be shared with North Walsham Town Council.
Network Rail – The field known as Trackside is very close to a busy Train Line (The Bittern Line). Meetings have taken place with representatives from Network Rail to ensure the lighting scheme will not affect the rail network.
Very pleased to have supported North Walsham Town Council to create this info graphic posters detailing the measures to be taken to ensure the play parks are used in a safe and Covid-19 secure manner. They are now on display around all the parks in the Town.
